I'm on the 7 train, and just passed Citi Field. Saw a lot of BMW's with no plates, and an Autocross setup. Upon Google, it looks like the ultimate driving experience is there till oct 12th. My birthdays in two weeks and I would love to somehow do this. Are there requirements? Do you need to already own a BMW? What's it cost? Wish I knew it was gonna be this close to home earlier!

I did it years ago! It was really great - the guys going with you and instructing were really engaging and fun. I didn't bring my own car - they supplied us either Z4s or 3 series (3 series for the young drivers - I think I was 17 at the time). I had a blast and got to go all out on some pretty unusual surface conditions. One of them was this giant rubber mat covered in soapy water. The instructor had me floor it into the mat, then slam on the brakes and turn as hard as I can before I recovered it.
Very useful and super fun.

Just looked into it, got on the waitlist for Sunday (it's the only day I can do it), the site is confusing it said the Waitlist doesn't carry over and that it's first come first serve so I don't know if I should just show up or not.
If I didn't have to work I would've tried for tomorrow. How's the FoST?

I'm doing before work tomorrow. The FoST's been great. Haven't really had the chance to drive a ton lately unfortunately. It's been sitting in my garage, since I take the subway to work and by the time I'm home, my father's car is parked behind it, so I end up taking my mother's car to the gym and back at night. I do need to call up a dealership and get it scheduled to go in for the recall that's out now though. After I get that done, I'm gonna install the COBB AP2 (Stage 1 ) that I've got.

That's cool, at least you've got some options besides using your car. I was debating trying to go before work but I live in the Bronx and work in midtown (near the UN) so the only option would be to drive to Flushing (train ride from the Bronx would take FOREVER) but there's no parking by my job unless you pay $35 or have Diplomat Plates so I'm rinsed regardless.
I'll try my luck Sunday, make sure you post about how it went tomorrow!
